SETTING OUR HEARTS TO SEEK GOD IN 2018

As we come to the end of 2017 and prepare to enter into 2018, we do not have to be anxious about what the new year holds as we know the One who holds time in His hands.

The aim of this write up is to encourage us to set our hearts to seek God more diligently this new year.

Important Notice - Healing Rooms Closure

Healing Rooms will be closed for Christmas from Tuesday 19th December 2017 to Tuesday 9th January 2018 inclusive. Re-opens on Sunday 14th January 2018.

In response to a devastating landslide and flooding that hit Sierra Leone in August this year (2017), a member of Oasis Missions Team travelled to Freetown between 23 and 29 October 2017. Many Oasis church members had, within a very short space of time, donated a considerable amount of non-perishable food items, books, clothing, toys and many other much-needed items.

The pictures tell the story.....

Sierra Leone 2

A team of 13 Oasis Church members went on a mission trip to Guyana for almost two weeks in May 2016. It was a life-changing experience for all those who participated, all from different backgrounds and walks of life. 'My life will never be the same', said one of the team members in giving feedback to the congregation.

Although team members arrived and left at different times over the course of the mission, they were able to visit and minister at several churches, schools, a prison, an orphanage and an elderly care home.

It was so humbling. It was like Christmas daily and even several times a day. This gave new meaning to ‘All my Christmas’s came at once!” Various team members would say, “Just when you think it can’t get any better than this.... it does!!” I likened it to Jesus changing water to wine and keeping the best till last, and the only difference is that we were given the best last over and over again!!!!
